WPIC Expands to Australia

WPIC Opens Sydney Office to Unlock Asia Growth Opportunities for Australian Brands

Sydney, Australia — February 21, 2024 — WPIC Marketing + Technologies, a leading growth partner for global brands in China and APAC, is pleased to announce the opening of its new office in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.

WPIC Co-founder and President Joseph Cooke has relocated from Shanghai to Sydney to lead the new office, where the firm will provide an enhanced service offering to Australian consumer brands looking to capitalize on growth opportunities in APAC.

“There is an enormous and growing demand for Australian brands—from every consumer sector—across Asian markets,” said Mr. Cooke. “Our Sydney office is the pillar of WPIC’s new strategic initiative for Australia, which aims to help Australian brands take advantage of this unparalleled growth opportunity.”

Sydney office a key node in WPIC’s growing global footprint

WPIC worked closely with local stakeholders to expand into Sydney, which adds to WPIC’s presence in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul, Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal.

“We are delighted that WPIC has chosen Sydney as its Australian base,” said Anoulack Chanthivong, NSW Minister for Industry and Trade.

“The NSW Government is committed to attracting global businesses like WPIC to set up in our state and create more jobs locally. Sydney’s proximity in the Indo-Pacific coupled with our sophisticated financial and professional services industries makes Sydney a natural destination for firms like WPIC.

“This is another great example of how the NSW Government is working on the ground and globally to attract world class companies and innovators to our state, creating more jobs and supporting our growing economy.”

“The Australia China Business Council (ACBC) welcomes the arrival of WPIC to Sydney and the Australian market,” said Tom Parker, CEO, ACBC.

“It was important for ACBC to play a small role in bringing one of the region’s leading digital marketing and service providers to assist our members and the broader Australia business community better understand and access the China market.”

WPIC client list and body of work is impressive and ensures that Australian businesses can leverage their experience to enter or enhance their market share in China’s constantly evolving digital marketplaces,” he said.

Sydney office to drive growth for Australian brands

In recent years, a growing number of Australian companies have sought out WPIC’s comprehensive, turn-key solutions for growth in APAC markets. An on-the-ground presence in Sydney will allow WPIC to better service existing brand partners, grow its Australian client roster, and cultivate closer ties with key market stakeholders.

“Since we were founded nearly two decades ago, WPIC’s competitive advantage has been our ability to seamlessly bridge the gap in operational knowledge and cultural understanding for global brands in APAC,” said Mr. Cooke.

“Our ability to understand and leverage both local and international digital channels, media, brand strategy, product development, logistics, and commercial planning expertise has made us an ideal partner for building and expanding Australian operations in China and other APAC markets,” he said. “Our new office brings us even closer to our Australian brand partners, which will allow us to better execute our commitment to white-glove service and delivering growth for Australian brands.”

To celebrate the launch of the Australian office, WPIC ran an exclusive webinar series for Australian brands are, designed to unlock new opportunities in China’s rapidly growing e-commerce landscape. The webinar series presented in-depth data insights and strategic advice across six key sectors: supplements, skincare, snacks, pet, fashion, and outdoor.
