WPIC Marketing + Technologies (WPIC), a leading Asia-Pacific e-commerce and marketing services provider for global consumer brands, today announced the opening of its new Hangzhou office following a ribbon-cutting ceremony held in the city’s Yuhang District, near Alibaba’s headquarters.

The expanded Hangzhou office underscores WPIC’s continued investment in China and reflects rising demand from Canadian and international brands seeking to launch and scale in the Chinese market. The new facility will serve as a key operational hub supporting e-commerce execution, livestreaming, data analytics, and AI-enabled marketing services for WPIC’s growing brand portfolio.

Hangzhou has long been regarded as one of China’s most important cities for e-commerce innovation. Home to Alibaba and a deep pool of digital commerce and AI talent, the city plays a central role in the development of China’s online retail ecosystem. WPIC first established a presence in Hangzhou in 2021, and the city has since become a major engine of the company’s growth.

“Hangzhou is one of the most important e-commerce cities in the world, and it continues to attract exceptional talent across commerce, content, and AI,” said Jacob Cooke, Co-founder and CEO of WPIC Marketing + Technologies. “We’re making this investment to better serve our clients, many of whom continue to see strong opportunities in China despite broader global uncertainty. International brands are still launching here at scale—and WPIC is proud to be helping make that happen.”

According to Tmall Global, 2,415 new overseas brands launched on the platform in 2025, highlighting continued momentum in cross-border e-commerce. WPIC has played an active role in supporting this growth by enabling foreign brands to enter China through compliant, data-driven, and localized digital strategies.

The new Hangzhou office will employ approximately 120 people and is significantly larger than WPIC’s previous location. The upgraded facility features three cutting-edge livestreaming studios, an expanded photography studio, enhanced technology infrastructure, and increased meeting room capacity to support cross-functional collaboration with clients and partners.

In line with WPIC’s commitment to empowering women in the workplace, the office also includes a dedicated mother’s room. WPIC is a majority-female organization, including at the executive leadership level, and continues to invest in facilities and policies that support long-term career development.

“Our Hangzhou team has been instrumental in driving innovation and operational excellence for our clients,” said Jessie Jin, Chief Operating Officer of WPIC Marketing + Technologies. “This new office gives our teams the space, tools, and environment they need to continue delivering high-performance e-commerce and marketing solutions as our client base grows.”

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Joseph Cooke, President of WPIC; Alex Palmer, Executive Vice President; Song Bin, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Hangzhou Committee; Wu Feiyue of the Yuhang District Commerce Bureau; along with partners and members of the international business community.

The Hangzhou expansion follows WPIC’s broader strategy of deepening its on-the-ground capabilities across China and Asia-Pacific to support global brands navigating the region’s fast-evolving digital commerce landscape.
