How WPIC helped Arrow Verical establish the technology, compliance, fulfilment, and marketing systems needed to operate and generate demand in China.
Arrow Electronics is a U.S. technology company specialising in electronic components and related products.
Its Verical business partnered with WPIC to establish the operational foundation required to expand in China, bringing together legal, technical, commercial, and marketing requirements under one programme.
Verical’s China expansion required considerably more than a local website or marketing campaign.
The company needed an operating structure capable of supporting digital infrastructure, regulatory compliance, payments, fulfilment, customer service, and demand generation.
WPIC worked with Arrow and Verical stakeholders to define the requirements, sequencing, and responsibilities needed to bring those elements together.
WPIC developed Verical’s China digital architecture to support secure and reliable data exchange between local and global systems.
The team also managed core regulatory and business requirements, including ICP registration, business licensing, banking, and payment infrastructure.
WPIC supported the recovery of digital assets and established local payment options, including Alipay, so customers could transact through locally familiar channels.
WPIC helped establish Verical’s in-market fulfilment model, covering freight forwarding, third-party logistics, and crossborder operating requirements.
Potential logistics providers were identified, assessed, and reviewed with Verical stakeholders before implementation.
The team also audited customer service processes and established lead-management workflows designed to reduce lost enquiries and provide greater visibility into sales performance.
Customer-facing infrastructure, including a dedicated service number and performance tracking, was incorporated into the wider operating model.
Once the underlying infrastructure was in place, WPIC developed the initial digital acquisition programme. This included China-hosted landing pages, paid search activity, and training for Verical teams on Baidu marketing tools.
Leads were captured and distributed through a dedicated CRM workflow, while campaign and customer data were analysed to understand demand, product interest, and conversion behaviour.
Those insights also helped inform decisions around which SKUs should be fulfilled locally, where demand was strongest and how fulfilment speed affected commercial performance.
The programme gave Verical the infrastructure needed to begin generating leads and conducting commercial activity in China.
Early market data provided greater visibility into product demand, pricing and customer behaviour, helping inform both immediate commercial decisions and longer-term China strategy.
By coordinating technology, compliance, fulfilment, customer operations, and marketing within a single programme, WPIC helped Verical move from market-entry planning towards an operational China business.
